About Me

My name is Efi, and I'm the Founder and Director of Cosmo Care.

Life has its challenges and helping people heal, grow and flourish through these is my passion.

Are you feeling stuck and struggling to make the changes you want in your life? As a passionate therapist I specialise in helping people overcome their mental barriers and unlock their true potential to live a life of freedom and fulfilment.

 

I'm an accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist, and Professional Supervisor registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and Australian Registry of Counsellors and Psychotherapist (ARCAP). In addition, I am a Certified Trainer and Assessor accredited by the International Teachers Training Academy (ITTA).

I currently serve as the Assistant Director of the Friendship Centre where I  guide and supervise counsellors and university interns completing their Bachelor and Master Degrees in counselling, additionally I am on the Course Advisory Board with Torrens University.

I also facilitate psycho-educational programs for Governing bodies in the forensic sector.

Born in Australia with a strong Greek heritage, I am fortunate to be bilingual in both English and Greek. My philosophy and core values draw inspiration from the ancient classical roots of Psychology, notably influenced by the pioneering Greek Philosopher, Aristotle. 

During the early stages of my life, I was interested in the Arts more specifically singing and dancing, which led me to travel extensively. I have trained as a dance teacher reaching a teachers silver medal at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Sydney. My background in this field has enabled me to effortlessly connect and establish rapport with individuals from a myriad of backgrounds. 

Moreover, I started with an educational background in Food and Nutritional Sciences and I later expanding into my entrepreneurial journey in the ownership of several Sydney based restaurants. Here I also found my passion to connect with people and their stories. 

With a Diploma in Fine Art, I have also cultivated mindfulness and gained a broader perspective on life. This plethora of life experience and knowledge enables me to provide valuable assistance to those seeking growth and change.
